IT is increasingly accounting for almost half of an organisation’s capital expenditure. IT projects must compete for budget with both other IT and non-IT related projects. IT staff are often the first to recognise the benefits of new technologies and are increasingly aware of the necessity to justify a valid return on investment and total cost of ownership or TCO for a project, prior to attempting to gain approval from their organisation’s financial decision makers. This presentation will focus on the TCO of an email security infrastructure and we demonstrate how the cost of an on-demand service is far lower than that of a comparable product-based solution installed within an organisations premises.
