James Kay

James Kay – Chief Technical Officer

With nearly twenty years' IT industry experience, including fifteen years' experience of both Electronic Mail systems and Internet Security, James is responsible for maintaining BlackSpider’s technical lead in world class email security.

Before joining BlackSpider, James co-founded Activis in 1997. Following its acquisition by the Articon-Integralis Group, James remained CTO of Activis responsible for the design and delivery of a best-in-class managed security services infrastructure, for customers in 26 countries.

James has held development and architecture roles for IBM and Hewlett Packard and holds a degree in Computer Science from Manchester University.
